Painting my 180

Ok I have a decision to make, and need help. I have a 91 "180"sx that WAS factory red from Nissan. Somebody before me painted the exterior a blue like the STI blue. They did an ok job except it's flaking off in some spots, and I don't care too much for it anyways. I want to paint the car black, inside and out. I am in the process of stripping the interior of everything to do so. My question is, would it be easier to just sand off the exterior paint and repaint it the factory red, or should i just continue with my black plan. I am doing this myself cause I'm 17 and don't have any money. I CAN get a compressor and spray gun to paint, and I CAN do a nice job painting with me and my dad. I'm just wondering how hard it is to repaint the interior? Anybody in the Pittsburgh area wanna help it's appreciated.

PS: The reason I want to paint the interior too is because I'm going all custom and don't know what parts are going to be exposed when I'm done. Plus the fact that I'm OCD (not really) when it comes to perfection and standards. I can't stand having the inside one color and the outside the opposite (red and blue).

Any input is appreciated and thanks for reading my long a$$ post.

If you want it black your gonna have to STRIP the ENTIRE interior if you want to do it right.

Its really your choice if you want to make it black or back to factory red. IMO the easiest route is factory red. Less work...

** Me personally, im painting everything super white. Interior n all. Its gonna be some work but its worth it. My car is midnight blue right now and i might gut most of my interior...

I, personally would go with the black exterior. Red rotors.
Red on black interior scheme.

Only thing about black is that it doesn't show bodylines, as with any other really DARK color.
But that's your choice.

Black with red sounds good...Like He^^^ Said...red rotors...but keep the interior completely black except change the gauge lights to red Then Misc engine parts with the same red...That WOULD be cool...but black is so hard to keep clean...Just do white with black top...simple yet sexy

i wouldnt do the paint job yourself unless you have alot of experience, my friend just did the bondoing and the primer and had MACO do his paint job, it turned out really bad, it had the infamous orange peel texture. Just pay 500 bucks for someone else to do it.

Red on black is my idea. Black everything, red accents. I am stripping everything. So you're saying once I strip everything I should just take it to a shop and say paint this all black and it should be relatively cheap? Btw, that last pic is closest to my current color.

Oh yeah, and on the inside just paint over the old paint or sand everything (shudders at thought of time)?
