Spent the day cleaning the engine bay yesterday. Also cleaned up my transmission, so its no longer covered with sand, tar, and some other stuff I cant even begin to identify.

Well did some work in the garage this weekend. Mainly painting but also some rust repair and fixing my crash foam for the rear bumper.

All unpainted parts of the engine are now primered. Color coats next weekend after the 7 day drying time for the primer.

Wire Brushed off the rust on the crash bar and put a nice coat of rust killer primer.

And glued the seam on my crash foam. The two haves were seperating in the center.

Thats all the updates for now. More next week......

You can add coats within a 1 hour window between coats but I'd rather let the primer cure before painting the top coats. SO far doing that the block has stood up to alcohol, STP, Oil, and not a sign of cracking, peeling, fading, or wiping off.

Finished painting the majority of the engine today. All I need to do is paint the valve cover and oil pan.

Also made an eBay purchase this weekend. Kind of an impulse buy but couldn't pass it up. I have a cool idea for it but I'm not gonna post details until I get everything figured out.

Figured I could use it to get up and running and when the turbo died, swap it out for a real deal turbonetics or something. My biggest hurdle is the piping since I don't have a bender, can't tig, and don't have anyone local who can. I'm looking at an hour drive minimum to find a shop that can tig piping if I order pre-bent sections.

yea piping is expensive but you can find piping with i/c on ebay.

now if the turbo grenades itself it will take out the motor with it.
