Those on there now are 215/35/18s, not really what I would choose to put on them again, but the tires are brand new, might as well use them.

UPDATE: The motor has been giving me a lot of trouble, so I have decided to do a motor swap. A very nice man on another forum is parting out his complete swap and giving me a good deal on it.

The car is going to be parked all summer though , but there is no sense in dumping money into an 18 yr old motor with 135+k miles on it. Every dollar saved is a dollar closer to my RB swap.

The motor is going to be very basic, RB20DET, Front mount intercooler, blitz bov, stock mani/turbo and a cone filter. I'm going to run a wideband to keep check and not lean it out, possibly an safc depending on how many mods i can afford.

I'm shooting for 200whp, so high hp isn't neccessary, just a well balanced car.

but what does 214 at the crank figure out to at the wheels? still, all you would need is the cone filter to up it to 200. great find and good luck

RB20E - single-cam (85 to 96 kW (115 to 130 ps) @ 5600 rpm, 167 to 181 N·m (17 to 18,5 kgf·m) @ 4400 rpm)
RB20ET - single-cam turbocharged (107 kW (145 PS) @ 6000 rpm, 206 N·m (21.0 kgf·m) @ 3200 rpm)
RB20DE - twin-cam (110 to 114 kW (150 to 155 PS) @ 6400 rpm, 181 to 186 N·m (18.5 to 19 kgf·m) @ 5600 (and later with a NEO-Head 4400 rpm)
RB20DET - twin-cam turbocharged (158 kW (215 PS) @ 6400 rpm, 265 N·m (27.0 kgf·m) @ 3200 rpm)
RB20P - single-cam (94 PS @5600 rpm and 142 N·m @2400 rpm)
RB20DET-R - twin-cam turbocharged (210 ps @6400 rpm and 245 N·m @4800 rpm

[straight off wikipedia...dunno how accurate, but its a start]
if this is correct, 215 ps amounts to a little over 200 hp, then about 180-190 at the wheels?

ya i guess cone filter and exhaust will put you over 200whp

dosnt take much to make power on these turbo engines i got fmic, hks intake, 3' exhaust and boosting at 15psi on my redtop sr im estimating around 250whp. Im getting it tuned after i get my clutch so ill get a dyno sheet then

yea appx 215 to the crank, but the whole drivetrain loss, etc. cone filter, exhaust, and maybe kick the boost up a little bit should get you in that area. just make sure the engine is in good condition.

I am shooting for those numbers at the wheels. 200 @ the wheels or 240@ the crank.

Prob going to stick with the sidemount for now since it's included in the motorset.

So now it's a cone filter, 3in catback(already on it), test pipe, 3in downpipe(i wonder if an r32 one would bolt up), and running some sort of boost controller(just incase i see some vette pull up)

matt, how hard was your swap? The motor set im looking at cant get much easier. It's arealdy wired for an s13 chassis, comes with the custom mounts, new clutch.

Update: Going to be picking up my motorset saturday, if not then, then 2 saturdays from now. It's hard to get time off of work. I'm so excited you have no Idea.

$1800 for:
Rb20 w/43k miles
5 speed tranny
new 6 puck clutch
tophat motor mounts
tranny bushing
sidemount intercooler and piping
wiring already done for s13
ecu
rebuilt alternator
new thermostat

It was up for sale right at the time i wanted to do a swap
was the motor I was looking at
i had to the money at the time
he's only a few hours from my doorstep

It's ment to be.

Also, I sold my rims for 600 bucks and got a brand new set of teardrops with brand new tires. So I have a RUNNING SOHC 5 speed car, with stock wheels, new tires, and a catback exhaust for 100 dollars. Talk about a deal and a half.

I have also decided to go front mount. RB intercooler kits are expensive, so im just going to order an sr kit and get a bunch of piping and route it to the throttle body, shouldn't be too hard.

Holy poop man. Holy poop. You sir are the luckiest man alive I think. And good idea on the intercooler. Piping is piping.
