Randy's RB20 Hatch

Hey what's up guys? I haven't been on in a while since school started and I've been working non-stop on my project.

Lot's has been done to the car in the last few weeks. The KA is long gone and the Rb20 now sits and is running!

The setup:
No A/C
No P/S
RB20DET - pretty stock swap
New clutch, new bushings, new fluids, front mount intercooler, 11psi, full 3in turbo back exhaust!

To do:

Hook up z32 filter, r32 fuel pump, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, check for some more vacuum leaks - starts kinda rough, finish up taping the wiring and tucking it away, find a way to make the steering shaft clear the exhaust - impossible!?, bolt on driveshaft, bleed clutch, add some more coolant, and drive the hell outta it!

Nice swap. Any problems with starting it when it's cold?

No not really, it spins over super fast, sputters for a second, then runs fine. And yes I do have my orange 'choke' wire hooked up. It seems like it barely getting enough fuel pressure. Im sure the r32 pump and better filter will help a ton!

If all goes well, it should be running and driving in a week or 2. The exhaust is going to be a *****. I have an aftermarket 3in turbo elbow with a screamer pipe, cool for performance, but its going to take some work to make it not hit the steering shaft.

Anyone know where i can pic up some electric fans for decent price? I can get some at autozone, but they are crappy and don't flow enough cfm. Also, do you know where i can pick up an assortment of the vacuum lines that run on the intake manifold, a few of mine are cracked!

I got alot done today. I got my z32 filter on, skyline pump is in and working, the car is charging!

Just waiting on the exhaust to come, driveshaft bolts, bleed the clutch, e-fans and remount the bumper.. somehow

Looks good man, keep it up. You can get a set of altima fans for about 60 bucks on zilvia, but keep an eye out for taurus fans because they pull a LOT more cfm than altimas.

one thing you can do to help with your power is swap the i/c pipes so the hot pipe is going between the radiator and the cold pipe comes in on the right side and goes to the intake manifold

heres how i set mine up
