red taillights for $3.99.

Haha, I was bored so I went to Shucks auto parts and found some transparent red tape used for broken tail lights... so I bought it for $3.99 and put it over the orange on my taillights... I used a razorblade to cut around the lights, and a credit card to tuck it in the cracks.. here's a few pics I took with my phone.

BTW, it's been on there for about 2 months.. i've washed my car several times, had it sit in the sunlight, and it's rained.. it's still on there good.

Any craft store has stained glass paint, you can shoot that on there after cleaning the plastic really well, then shoot some clear and it looks awesome, no worries about tape peeling off.

nah, you can't see any orange at all.. it's just the camera and the lighting... In person it's damn close for how cheap it was.

Very clean. I wanna do the same thing with my car. I'm not diggin' the orange as much. Red or clear looks awesome as a substitute.

if your looking for something a little denser, you can do the same thing with red clear vinyl or red tint.
just a note for anyone that wants more options on how to do it..
the Red take thing kinda scares me...

I don't know about the tape, but the paint fades if you don't clear coat over it.

buy transparent red vinyl from jmods.net if you want better results, i have had redded ambers for a year and no fading or oxidation has occured. im afraid those tape kits will fade after a few months.
