5x114.3 pattern give you better whel options, especially when it comes to wheel width and fitment. A majority of 4x114.3 aftermarket wheels are made with high offsets (+38, +35) which might fit under our cars, until yo go with something wide like 8.5 or so; then with the high offset you get rubbing issues. That's because a majority of the 4x114.3 aftermarket wheels are designed for the most popular fitment in this pattern - Honda Accords.

If you want something in a 9.5" or more width, your best bet is that a 5x114.3 wheel will have the proper offset (RWD offset, i.e. +15, +10) when compared to a 4x114.3 wheel (if there's even suckh a thing as a FWD 9.5" wheel)

If you're sticking stock or have no aspirations of competing in your car, then cool. Stockers are cool for you. FWD wheels are cool for you I guess. But anyone seriously into driving their 240's would know the advantages of having a 5-lug setup, especially on the larger, wider S14.

Offset > FWD wheels

BTW dude - I wasn't even referring to the "SE" stuffs.

o.......top 5 was a long time ago.

yes id agree that i want wider and bigger wheels, but for now what i have is fine and works well. i just cant see myself spending 500 + for the 5 lug conversion, plus lug nuts, plus wheels and tires.

I've heard that a million times and I know all the advantages, but I don't compete, she's just my daily driver / occasional fun machine. 16x7 +35 is fine for me.

Yeah, like i said - wasn't meant to knock 4-luggers, but it's pretty much required to go wider than like say, 8.5"... plus you get sexy lips like Angelina Jolie

wow 27 pages... i read all of this and all i remember is that 4-lug is good for daily driving and its okay to have stock wheels but paint them. hahaha maybe its just cause i'm dead tired from work.

oh yes and painting that car black is a no no. maybe its different in the canadian model but i have the same color on my 240 and it has blue interior. blue interior with a black car makes me ill... looks mighty bad.
