Ok so I will be shopping for a new project car soon and this is what I want. I have this poster in my office of a bad A$$ S15. Now I know that america didnt get the S15 but this was maid from a S14 body. They called it the S14.5. If I was to get a 240, what year would be best to do a S15 swap body wise? I want to try and keep it cheap, duh? For the engine, the whole SR20DET is still the best way to go right? I think a 240 with the skyline drivetrain and engine would rock. Anyone ever heard of this being done? Thanks for looking and any info is appreciated. O pictures of S15's and S14's would be nice too.

 

you can probably do the body conversion with any post S14. The '95 and '96 are cheaper though. The skyline swap has been done, but the sr is still the most popular. One of the guys on the forum has an rb25det (skyline) swap.

 

Yea I saw the swap info when I was looking around. Can someone post some pics of S14 and S15 conversions? I just want to see the difference before we start a new project car. Sorry for all the noobie stuff but you have to start somewhere, right?

 

you looking to do just the face swap or you are you also going to do a taillight swap?

Here are some pics of a 240SX with a S15 front-end conversion. I've yet to see a 95-98 240SX with S15 taillights, but that's not to say it can't be done.

 

yeah I think S14 tails look better then the S15 tails.

What is the difference between the zenki and kouki S14 tails, the basic shape looks the same to me...
