Side skirt paint decsions

I just ordered some JDM S-14 sideskirts, I still have to find the OEM style front lip. But anyway I was thinkin of painting them black (gloss not flat like in the image). I figured it would be really difficult and somewhat xpensive for a body shop to color match my already 9 year faded red paint, or have to fade factory red on the skirts into the side of my car. I just wanted to see what yall thought.
Please forgive the crappy photo-chop a white s-14 was the only one I could find with em on...If this someone reading's car, nice ride!

WTF, why the sides red with a black lip?
So i can be like this guy:

"Oh, I ran out of paint, lets bolt it on anyway"...j/k
Sorry, please for give the sarcasm. Your input is appreciated. Mabye i'll stripe the red over the black, so that the red fades iinto the black.

lol, that dudes car is nice. black contrast with the red, just thought it would look nice. but the sides has to be red, dont leave them black. and i think if u paint the lip red it would look ugly IMO. the lip is flat black oem anyways.

The lip was not always flat black oem.

This is OEM (also not my car, sorry)

So is this.
Like all the other shiz on the 240's, it depended on the dealer. I "heard" that some were throwing the lip on there unpainted (alota dealers don't have paint facities) to jack up the price.

How about leaving them flat black, waiting until you get the front lip, then deciding from there if a full paint job is desired?

BTW, kinda off topic - anyone wanna guess the wheel size on the white car in the above post? My guess is 17's.

-Well, currently the skirts are metallic orange-wtf! I bought em off an importer on ebay. The lip that i found is gold (don't have it yet, its on an abandoned '96 SE), so I have to repaint both of them anyway. I guess once i fill in the scratches I can primer it black and see how it looks. Thanks guys.
