STYLE?.....or rice?

More of an opinion based thing really.

My car as of now is completly primered. So I decided to take advantage of this and do all the body work I want to. I was contemplating shaving the handles. I know of a junkyard with a S14 sitting there and I was planning on going to to go cut (2) 1ft by 8in or so templates out to make a filler plate for each of the handles. (reason being the body line goes STRAIGHT THROUGH the door handle.) I think it would give the car a flush clean look, but some people I know think it would be "ricy"........

So I decided to ask you guys what you think. although it most likely won't sway me.... :P

cant you put like a failsafe switch on the outside of the car, hidden somewhere?

As long as you don't add a wing that looks like you made it in your mom's kitchen out of Aluminum foil, I would think that shaved door handles are a nice subtle mod to your car.

yeah, I planned on doing actuators. I'm doing the body work, but I'm letting T&D Customs do the eletrical and instalation. I of course, will be there to watch, help, and learn. (T&D Customs in the only distributor of Hijacker Hydralics on the East side of the Missippi. They are world renound. Just look in any hydralic realted mag) I talked to trad, and he's waiting on my and my money

As for the fail safe, Year, there can be another small battery somewhere, or a mechanics driven failsafe also. My buddy has a little lever on his truck under his hood to open the doors if needed.

but what do you guys think?

also if you are going to do this. you can NOT race your car at atrack or anything. its against rules for safety. say you roll your car or are rendered unconsiouse for any reason, having shaved door handles rescue people cant just open your car door from the outside. so thats why they arent allowed at tracks. but if you dont intend on ever going to the track, then please post pics when its done.

i was going to do this as well, until i found about the whole track thing.
