Tacky?

Just getting my car painted, the 240 doesn't really have emblems but I ended up buying a couple GT-R Emblems because they look cool. I thought about putting them in the lower sections of both my fenders. Besides doesn't GT-R just stand for Gran Tour Racing or something, kinda like Nissans version of GT

Thanks for any replies or thoughts.

Most people think its tacky, only put the GT-R emblem on a car that actually is a GT-R

a 240 is not a skyline why would you do that? how bout you just dont put any emblems on or if you do, dont put them in the wrong place, ie: fenders. once again a 240 is not a skyline and will never be. so be happy you have a 240.

Not that I was every thinking it was a GT-R, but yeah I get the vibe. Thanks for the input. Maybe I'll just sport some Nismo emblems.

Now that is just plain cross breeding.

To be honest I don't want to get evil stares from those familiar with Nissans, I'm fixing up the car pretty nice and don't want to screw it up by making a tacky move.

It did seem to me though that I seen a new Spec-V sentra fixed up sporting a GT-R symbol in one of the magazines, so I figured it was more like the GT-R was like everything else you see running around with a GT symbol, only Nissan's version.

Maybe a Silvia emblem even. Just not GT-R, doesn't fit.

I would just get some silvia emblem or a NISMO. But not a GT-R. I see them everywhere, like on mustangs, honda and acuras, mazda, don't do it.

i'd say.. slap a few silvia emblems/badges on there.. make it jdm-ish.. S13? get that 'turbo intercooler' srip thing that goes near the doors and silvia badge on the back.. S14? get the S14 silvia badge on the back K's shield on the sides and the S shield on the front.. totally pimp get my drift? hahaha!! i sed drift and everyone got an erection..

i had a GT-R emblem and was wondering where to put it on my car.. since there was no where to put it.. i ended up putting it on my fridge with all the other 'racer' stickers.. imma take a pic of it later

at least you don't own a SVT Cobra and are thinking about sporting the GT-R badge...*sigh* what are people thinking? hey're right though, it's good of you to have te right mind to ask around though, kudos. I would simply shave the car, no emblems, looks prettier.

there are certain cars that earn the title 'gtr'. mclaren, skylines, that damn rustang they made now is a gtr-that's sad. i hate rustangs. you can put a gtr emblem on your car if you dont give a **** bout what ppl think. for me, i have a coupe, soon gonna have an s13 front end conversion, maybe an sr20 swap, and look for a brand new 240sx emblem becuz mines all old. it's still a 240. a 240 with an s13 silvia front end conversion. was gonna do r32 front end, but s13 will fit right on. ill work on getting the bnr32's.
