Window tint, suggestions, pics, etc!!

So I bought a '95 240, and its pretty much a stocker. It's that blue/grey/purple color that I'm still looking for the correct name of. Anyway one of the first orders of business is to tint this t hing out. Problem is around here we aren't allowed to tint front driver and pass side windows.

So I was thinking maybe a 20% black tint on the back windows then a 35% black tint on the fronts. Also maybe some sort of mirror?

Anyone got any suggestions? I was thinking maybe a mirror tint, or some sort of greyish tint if not going with black, im not real sure what my options are. Anyone got any pics or suggestions? Lets hear em.

Mirror tint is illegal pretty much every where. If you're not allowed to tint your windows, I suggest you don't even waste your time and money getting it done.

I know what color your car is, but I can't think of the correct term for the color. It's like "silver.. " something. I think. I believe this site has a color chart for all the years and you can look it up there.

I could get away with front tints if they're not too dark, like a 35% on the fronts I think I could get away with.

Annnd JessicaS14, yea I saw that in the Sticky forum, except the chart turned into a red x, so I've been trying to find it elsewhere with no luck.

That narrows it down pretty good. Is there a number or code on the car that would have that paint code on it, so I could check and be sure? Don't mind me being a complete noob to 240's.

If you have photoshop get a pic of your car, make a new 100% tranparent layer and select around the windows of your car and fill it in with black. Then you can go thru and change the tranparency of the layer in the layers menu and look at all the different tint %'s, or put yellow tint or whatever on your car.

FN2 Color Code "Blue Emerald"

I have the same color, and I ****ing love it.

Limo Tint rears and 35% front. It's the only way to go.

Well I'll post a pic of my car and you can see if its the Blue Emerald you're talking about...I'm not sure, because emerald would indicate some green, and theres no green that I can see at all in this color...Heres the car, pic taken before I bought it:

but '95 came with only a couple color choices.

Ultra Red, Ruby Pearl, Champagne Gold, Blue Emerald, Super Black, Concord Gray, Aspen White Pearl Glow.

You're car must be a '96 Mediterranean Blue "BP3" A rare color that only came in '96.

but anyways, dark as hell in the back, and barely legal tint in the front.

OH and BTW, drop that 4x4!

Its factory paint, its in all the jams and whatnot, I have a record showing it hasn't been hit either... And yes it's getting dropped 1.7" in the front and 1.4" in the back, this weekend.
