yeah no ****...

maybe it's just got too much weight?

theres new brakes on the back...maybe they are actually a little too tight and slowing me down some?

maybe it just needs a tuneup?

is their a certain way you launch in an auto? cuz i just mashed it at the start? should i rev it up in neutral and drop it into gear with the revs up? i REALLY didnt wanna put that kinda stress on the engine...but maybe it's not that much stress for these cars i dunno? i know i did it all the time in my tempo...and now the engine oil and tranny oil both leak...lol..i also did it in my dads topaz and its now got a busted engine mount

it seems to me that first gear is pretty slow...

i mean i take off over drive and tried to do a brake stand ( hold brakes and press the gas....smoke show..) but the rp's wouldn't go up over like 2000 or 2500...it was sad...the tires did start spinning but it should have revved up as soon as they did...i dunno im thinkin something with the rear brakes.

first of all, doing a "neutral drop" is about the worst thing you can do to your car other than driving it off the end of a pier into salt water... NEVER DO IT!!! plus, doing brake stands twists the hell outta your car... in order to launch with an auto, you need to stage your car by holding your foot on the brake and revving your engine up till the tourque converter starts to catch, around 3,000 rpm's in my 95 altima with the same engine.. when it starts to catch, jam the gas and let off the brake at the same time, you should only chirp your tires to get the best 0-60 time, try different rpm's to find which has the least bog down and not much tire burn.. hope this helped -scott

i'm pretty sure I can run a 0-60 in less than 13 seconds, so your time has to be wrong. Secondly, with the slowness and smoke coming out of your pipe, you HG could be gone, but more than likely that smoke means you're burning oil, NOT GOOD!

And dont do a neutral drop, your tranny will die real quick. And revving while in Drive with an auto, there is a rev limiter, like 180 or 2k rpms or something like that, thats how my s13 was.

Definately do a tune-up to the car, new plugs, o2 sensor, 300zx fuel filter, etc.

my hedgasket is good

by smoke show i mean burn out lol...no smoke coming from my pipe but from my tires. its just the car wont rev..

and i cant even hold the brake and get my car to 3 thousand rpms....it accelerates like a ****ing moose...and traction breakes before than that and once the traction breaks it doesnt rev any faster...like it should.

well like I said, in drive there is a governer that won't let you rev past 2K rpms, I found that out @ the track. Might not be on your 91, but it is on my 93

And I drive a 93 and it's definately not as slow as a moose, you should definately see whats up.

I have no clue what is up with your car. Sounds pretty f'ed up. My 92 will hold till 3,000 rpms then light the rear tires like they are spinning on ice. As far as 0-60, my best is 7.9 seconds. I think your car has a plug up its butt or something. But most def do a good tune-up and clean the MAFS. That should help.

Dont push the brake all the way down as hard as you can, theres a sweet spot, you just need to find it, experiment with different amounts of braking...
