Hey all my name is Kyle. Right now I’m in the process of writing a proposal for a business plan. I’m trying to open a shop where people can come to get stuff done at a reasonable price but here is the kicker I want to have a drift track or circuit track built in the back area of the shop that I can rent out for a 100.00 a day & 60.00 for a half a day. I’m in the process of talking to AEM, APEXi, & HKS to became an authorized dealer and tuner for the EMS, Power FC, & FCONpro V stand alones. Along with dyno tuning, drift car setups we would also sell used tires for drift practicing. My question to you is how many of you would be interested in a shop like that. This is something I’ve been thinking about for the last 8 years or so. I would very much like your opinions and any tips or suggestions that you may have.

i think its a good idea. i to have thought of this for a while. all that is needed is a big enough piece of property and a lot of asphalt.

as a thought it would be nice if you could just drop in at any time and practice. again this would require a lot of space so people wouldn't be smashing stuff up.

good luck and keep us posted. might try this on other forums as well. might be someone with some money to help you out.

good idea. this would tske considerable money and insurance for liabilty. dyno isnt cheap, yuo would need to employ a mechanic unless you do all the work. at the very least someone to help with dyno time and sales and watch over track use. if you do make this happen you might want to do this in an area that has cheaper land like shelbyville, manchester or somewhere like that. i know they arent really close nash. but at least the land is a lot cheaper. either good luck.

I was kinda thinking the shelbyville area because they have no zoning board so i wouldn't have to deal with that. im tring to design a track to include in the buisness plan i might just copy the drift land track for general perposes but that might change. I will be hiring a couple people at first while i see how every thing runs if all goes real good then ill hire a couple more eventully i want to build a pro drift car that will be one of the first things we would be doing as a shop project. im thinking r33, 180sx, s15, or s14, maybe a z32 to change things up a little bit . as for the dyno it would be a indpenedet 4 wheel dyno so not only i could do fr's and ff's but also awd platforms.

l3ooherS14 = im going to nopi nats in atl. but cant go to bristol due to work if you want to go to nats let me know we can cruz down together
