17x10s + 315's
Got my wheels and tires in a little while ago...the body shop is currently working on doing a "mini tub" of the rear to help these things fit. As soon as that's done, my 50mm over fenders will go on.
I test fitted the rear over fenders and they fit perfectly (no spacers). An option was to just mold them on, but this car is going to be drag raced so the wheels have to be able to tuck up under the wheel wells, thus all the extra work that is being done.
Fronts: FN01R-C 17x9 +15 255/40/17 (not shown)
Rear: FN01R-C 17x10 +12 315/35/17
Edit: I know someone's going to ask, "Why the hell do you need all that traction?" Simply put, my stock RB26 was spinning the 225's I had on it untill 4th gear...and now I'm ready to up the psi to about 14

17x10 was within the tire manufacture's specs. The fitment also seems to be absolutely fine (there isn't a lot of rubber hanging over the sides). However, if I was going to be road racing or drifting the car, I would probably run some smaller tires.
245/40/18 is kind of weak...you could be running some 285s
In a perfect world, I'd have a set of 17x12s but...there wasn't room in the budget for custom rims. Maybe at some point I'll get a set of CCWs and see about running a 335 tire

So what's the difference between a civic with a 5" fart cannon and running a 235 on a 10j? Seems like the same thing to me.

running a 235 on a 10j is actually a good setup if you drift, the strecthing causes the sidewall to be more rigid and provides for a faster loss of traction. and obviously, less rubber on the ground = easier to break loose.
