abs/coilover

I did a search but I didnt find what I was lookin for. I'd like to know how can I tell if my car comes with abs or not? Its build date if I checked correctly is 3/94 (my car is 1995 240SX 4 lug) My second question is, if I get coilovers do I need struts/shocks as well or springs???

There should be a ABS light on the gauge cluster

If you dont have ABS its all good, no biggy. A lot of 240's dont have ABS. There is a way to convert to ABS...but from what I hear it is pretty pricey and not worth it. If you get coilvoers(NOT coilover sleeves)then you dont need anything, it comes with everything you need. BTW...do you know what kind of coilovers your ganna get?

Hey HyJynX, thanks so much for replying...if you say its no biggy then i wont worry about it. I want like a nice big brake setup in the front and rear I was thinkin Brembo's or AP Racing something along those lines. As for the coilovers I like the Tein FLEX or Nismo R-Tune coilovers not sure which way to go yet. My car is automagic, so right now im in the works of saving up for SR20DET T28 VTC motor.

S14 SR? Sounds great. For a good brake setup, you can always go Z32 front and rear or Z32 front and new rotors/pads rear. For me, I think slotted rotors all around with upgraded pads are great. BTW, no prob

yep HyJynX, S14 SR. Z32 is that from an actual Z32 camaro? if so i woulda neva guessed that american and japanese. i spoke to nissan to price out the spindles and hubs for my car 118.00 (Queens, NY) sounds right.. i also called courtesy nissan they want 115.00 for the spindles each and 111.00 for the hubs each. it works out to almost be the same amount of money, is there a price difference you think for ABS and non ABS? cause i asked for 5 lug ABS.

Yes there is a difference, IIRC they wont fit at all, or fit loosley. The Z32 is the 90-96 300ZX.

seems like you are heading in the right direction...if you go with the Brembos or the Ap's i would get the Z32 master cylinder...those are much bigger calipers than the Z32 calipers (6piston Brembos to 4piston Z32). but the Z32 is going to be much much cheaper. bte the LM GT4 limited black are some of the hardest rims to find...there was a guy selling 3 sets on Ebay not long ago...might be all gone though.

Hey barrigaS14, I saw in STILLEN's catalog they have Nissan Skyline calipers, rotors and pads. I think its a nice set up. Might be lookin into that as well. As for the LM GT4 Black Limited i know .. i want them so bad but i'd settle for the bronze, but for sure i want nismo wheels

No problem, btw skyline calipers(I think your talking about the R32 calipers)work great on a 240. I have some, but all ready have a buyer for em.
