Aftermarket Struts???? KYB AGX

Does anyone know how much you have to cut the strut bumpers. It says no where in my directions how much to cut them, or anything about aftermarket ones?
Does anyone have them on already and how much have you cut your bumpers to fit?

On my friends S13 coupe we cut the bumper on the first line from the top... and it's been fine since
