Airbags for Racing?

My friend says that I shouldn't use airbags for racing because they r unstable, and the car is going to lift from one side moire than the other when I take off, and that airbags are only for show cars. now i know there's like a 1339.99$ suspensions that I saw on some magazine, maybe that can work, but I'm talking about the airbags kit, no special shoks etc. like those 800 or less airbag kits. would this be true? would the car become unstable under xtreeme acceleration an all? or is he just talking about the stuff he doesn't know?

I'd imagine it is, I would definately stay away from them unless your car is a show car

pop.

Those airbag lowrider action kits are designed for looks, not performance. Use some common sense bro.

The reason it would become unstable. Is that there is no true rebound force in the bag it self. Under extreme driving conditions the bag would blow and you would die.

Tanabe has a similar suspension system that utilizes coilover and air bag(that has a helper spring in the bag it self).

It is called the Air Cobra, only for Van and show use it is still a cool system.

AIR COBRA
