found a shop, they did it manually...at first it scared me...cuz ive never saw an alignment done manually with no computers.

they fixed my toe and front camber.

Touge was a success, not many ppl showed up, but we had fun.

true og alignment shops do it by hand, the old school way.

for the real deal old school go to a good shop like west end alignment in gardena. darin knows his stuff and has been doing and does all the best cars in socal.

i currently go to jc autohouse in temple city, he does good work as well, and good price too.

if you want computerized, go to a just tires, sears, or pepboys.

the reason people go to the "old school" guys is because you show a camber plate to a just tires guy and he says "what does that do?"

oh and just noticed you asked about a tie rod end. id recommend kazama tie rod ends, comboed with a kazama inner tie rod unless you are on a budget, then go with tein.

EDIT: okay, don't listen to me, I just had bad previous experiences

Problem is, my car is dropped to the 3 ins from the ground

Your fault for having your car that low and not doing what it takes to get a proper alignment, especially since Touge is like UBER IMPORTANTE.

BTW ASpec, you're not exactly right.

The "Just Tire guy" I go to in Azusa knows what a camber plate is, knows how to adjust RUCAS and tension rods (caster!), AND uses a computerized rack to get everything squared. He also does custom setups (like mine)

Yes, I didn't think it was possible either, but this guy changed my mind. Thanks to the "Just Tires guy" my car sits flat stable during 110mph bursts on the freeways of CA (which are bumpy lumpy)

Ha, your lucky!

I went to a Just Tires like three years ago with my teins, and the guy was like yeah we can align it, then when he saw it, he was like "what does that do" so I was like PEACE.

Then I went to some other chain place and they proceeeded to do the same thing.

After that I just caved and started going to Darin at West End until I moved out of LA.

well i went to SEars auto center with my RUCA and camber plate. No problem with either. It's not very hard to figure out how to work the camber plate either.

But i don't think the RUCA was set tight because it looks a little out of whack from initial alignment. Oh well, I'm going to do my own alignment anyway with a ruler and a calculator. d=D

Bleh, that's my luck for you. I stand corrected.

I just had bad experiences with chain shops so I stopped going.

I'm glad you guys had good experiences though.

I guess our experiences combined are more a case of individual staff knowledge more than what the brand name of the shop is... Don't get me wrong - I've been to MANY places who looked at camber plates and had no clue what they did - as if it was some sort of rocket science LMAO
