I have seen that some bracket of some sort can be added on

if (found on ebay) one currently has the front 300zx calpiers

(30mm) on their 240sx. It allows one to upgrade from the 11"

rotors found on the Z32 to the 12.5" rotors found on the 3000GT

VR-4.

I believe your talking about the 300zx(Z32) brake conversion. It is possible, and Search around the forums to find more info on it.

 

Actually, he's not. He is talking about, as he said, coupling the Z calipers with some even larger diameter rotors.

Yes, it is possible. John B. here in ATL is about to fab up some brackets to use some Cobra rotors. IIRC they're ~ 13" in diameter...

As far as the bracket goes, its a plain thick sheet of metal made so that is moves the caliper outwards, away from the center-point of the spindle. That will allow for the larger diameter rotor. Keep in mind, you still have to keep roughly the same thickness on the rotor. No biggie, though.

I will. But, if you're only driving on the street, larger diameter rotors will not benefit you at all. The purpose behind the larger rotor is better heat capacity and dissipation. Long track events, or constant hard braking will result with less brake fade...
