Can't find Caliper painting DIY

damnit, I remember scrolling through a great DIY on caliper painting. It was of S2000 calipers, but it had good instructions and pictures. I can't remember where I saw it though, and after a few hours of poking through Zilvia, Nico, 240sxforums, and this one, I still can't find it. Does anybody know what I'm talking about? Somebody point me the right way plz...

step 1: remove calipers
step 2: paint
step 3: let dry
step 4: put back on

do not forget to remove the pads and mask the piston(s) or else it will smell. another alternative if you do not feel like painting is picking up a brembo or bahr Big Brake Kit.

um... thanks? But I think I could've figured out THAT much. I need some more details/specifics on how to clean 'em up, prep them for paint, recommendations for paint, exactly what to tape up, and how exactly to go about painting it~ (the whole thing? one side of the caliper at a time? how many coats...) um yea, basically I've never painted any sort of parts before.

look, if you're not going to help, then don't post~ simple as that. I can't really stop you from posting, but if you're not helping then you're not really telling me anything I don't already know. As for figuring it out, well that's exactly what I'm trying to do because I'm asking around to see what information I can find to "FIGURE IT OUT" I'd at least like to take the effort to find out how NOT to mess up and say "oops" when I screw up a pair of good $300+ calipers (no, their not the oem) and take the hit in MY pocket [not your's]. What's "common sense" for you is not always the case for everybody else, it's only common sense for you from the experiences you've gathered. Yes you learn from your mistakes, but if I can learn from other peoples' mistakes then all the better. I'm not dumb enough to paint the friggin' rotors, but no I've never had to clean up a pair of calipers either. Aside from the pistons, the mounting bolt holes, and the bleed screw + brake line-in hole, are there any other parts that I should tape up before spraying it with brake cleaner? how do I prep the surface for paint?

You really don't need to take the caliper off the rotor, you can just put plastic all around it, and tape it up really well.

Here is a really good article.

Any recommendations for paint? What kind of paint does Brembo, Endless, and Stoptech use? How do they keep their calipers painted indefinitely?

Where can you get High Temp Powdercoating done? seriously, I want to get this done right the first time, that's why I'm asking.

*edit* nevermind, I don't want to have to rebuild the calipers (I'm assuming that complete disassembly would be needed for the high temp powdercoating), they seem to work fine.
