Chassis Braces

So while I was changing my clutch I took a minute to look under my car and look for rust and stuff, and I noticed there were many places where the car could be braced in the rear under what is pretty much the backseat.
So I have decided to go to Lowes or Ace and see what type of steel or aluminum I can find to fabricate my own braces.
Also, has anyone here fabricated their own fender braces, because they look very easy to make and its unreasonable to pay so much money for them.

We welded A-Frame braces on our Gold car for Formula D. Very simple to do, very easy. Just need the time and know how to use a welder, which Im sure you already do know.
