Chopped Springs

I just found out I have chopped springs, my mechanic friend told me he wouldn't do it to any of his cars but its not a huge deal. the car feels really solid with them to be honest, what are the downsides?

chopping the springs depending on how they did it can heat up the spring and maybe high enough to somewhat change the spring tension rating and whatnot... it kinda stiffens up the springs a litte when this happens ... so to answer your question you should be okay but def invest in new springs/coilovers.. go low or go home... unless your okaywith your current setup.. hmm now that i mention that i need to do some shopping as well .... hmmm hope this helps ..

good excuse for some adjustable shocks/springs or coils.
you might hit the bump stops over speed bumps and such

so far the suspension works beautifully.. I work at a car dealership and have driven hundreds of types of new and used cars.. and NONE of them handle even close to my 240 and its basically stock. Ima leave it for now, I need a muffler soon. thanks for replies!
