cutting spings(its not what you think)

I was wondering if my friend with with kyb agx and eibach sportlines can cut his stock springs for one day for a car show at school if it would hurt his shocks?

In the long run it will hurt his schocks, and his ride is not going to be good at all.

i had cut springs...the ride wasnt too bad...but i no longer have them on my car...i now have sportline on..
