Today was the first day driving in stop and go traffic with wet roads. The first time I went to stop I start fish tailing. I def took it alot slower after that.

i usually brake early as a habit. but taking off (accelerating) can be difficult at times in the wet. but that loss of traction lets those of us without a lsd have some fun.

rain = grandma mode for me, haha. try going uphil 30 degrees on bald tires (last year). tires help out tremendously of course, esp on freeway speeds over random standing puddles of water. car jiggles left and right. scary ****!

my tires will turn over alot in the rain. ill try to merge out into traffic leaving a median. and the tires will just spin over and ill be in the middle of the road going nowhere i have to shove it in to 2 to gain more traction and then accelerate. lol pretty scary sometimes.

scary stuff?, try this - about 8 months ago, with my old '95 i was leaving for school in the morning. i was turning right on to a major 3 lane road. there is a huge, mellow turn lane to turn on this road, so i just shifted into third, let the clutch out and started to accelerate out of the merge lane. i ended up getting sideways about 45 degrees, then turned left to compensate. BAD IDEA! i ended up over steering to correct and slid sideways across the median and off the other side of the road, luckily there was NO traffic, it was 5 in the morning. Then i got t-boned a week later when a jeep ran a red light.- destroyed front clip. R.I.P.

no, no pics. i went to the hospital on that thursday night and the car was sent to a shady junkyard. i was released on saturday morning and i went on sunday to see the car - it got stripped faster than a 2dollar *****- trunk, glass, engine, all my bling-cd player, nismo shift ****, grant steering wheel, rims, N1 knockoff exhaust-everything was gone, and the junkyard said that they were allowed to strip my car because it was declared a total loss and they apparently got permission from the insurance company.-I Cried...

i could break the rear tires loose in 3rd gear with a stock ka.... it's not that hard and nothing to worry about. brakes suck in the rain too

i dont have a ka=t but my brakes are good in the rain. brembo rotors (no drilled or slotted, just blanks) and ceramic pads. very noisy in dry tho.

you obviously didnt try hard enough

1. step on gas
2. crank wheel.
3. call your insurance company.

Yeah, I live in Seattle and it rains most of the year here. I definitely agree that coilovers and tires help quite a bit, but if you loose focus or are just not driving with enough finesse, things get interesting quickly
