Angry floating suspension

Hey I just bought a '90 240 and when i go over bumbs sometimes the car swerves somewhat. I'm assuming this is a suspension issue and hoping that it isn't major. Can anyone help?

yea lots of em do it, check ur suspension, id suggest investing in some subframe spacers, this helped me and many others, also once you get coilovers or whatnot it will help as well..

When I read your title I thought "O GOSH" ....

"When I go 100+ my suspension floats, what do i do?"

Yes check your shocks....you might as well invest in suspension mods now....perferably coilovers...

thanks for all of your imput. I didn't know that bad shocks could cause that. I don't really have enough money right now to get a decent coil over set since I spent it all on the car but I could probably invest in some new shocks or at least have a mechanic check them out.

no.. fix the shocks with some cheap eBay ones (kyb's would work well)... bad shocks are really dangerous... not to mention they will make you seasick during a long ride...If youre gonna do something, do it right, and make sure you keep maintenance on the car so you dont endanger yourself or a precious 240... theyre dropping like flies lately!

um well technically our cars have struts, not shocks(or vice versa i forgot) but yea it could be a combination of your shocks/struts, rear subframe, or a multitude of little problems..

What kind of problems with the rear subframe, or other little things? I'm just trying to figure what I need to check, and how much $$ I'm lookin at...

bushings are worn, just buy spacers about $100. Other bushings wouldnt hurt to be replaced if they are really worn but the spacers would make a good difference.

The cars at 100,000 Miles roughly, is that enough to replace the bushings?

really depends on how worn they are, but yea id invest in some subframe spacers and see how that works out for ya, of course once you get coilovers or shock/spring combo it will help it as well.
