front camber plates, which ones?

I just have some question about front S13 camber plates.

Which camber plates are bang for the buck? Where can I get them?

I know of 3 brands:
TEIN
Cusco
Project Mu

Of those, I think TEIN would be cheapest. But I simply just can NOt find them for sale by themselves.

Any tips, advice, or something would help, Thanks!

Call Tein and ask for a retailer or distributor in the area.

Tein is good ****.

If you can't find Tein for sale, you're not really looking.

BTW camber plates on regular shock/spring combo might be pointless unless you're tracking it or something

^ dont be a cheap ***.

it will cost you more in the end.

BTW spring+shock+camber DOES NOT EQUAL COILOVER.

Uh... with what parts?

(dying to read the response)

The "professional ones" are higher priced for a reason - they just dont take shock A with spring B and pillowball C and paint them some nifty matching color scheme.

...besides, coilover sleeves (if that's what you're planning on using, which I bet you are) = halfass.

my own = adjustable dampening rate struts + coil over springs + camber plates in the front(only).

I have access to an alignment machine

i know brand name coilovers are worth it. But it think it would be fun to do my own R&D.

Btw, i heard this from my friend, dunno if its true...

Tein strut cartridge is actually KYB?

Kei office is actually a tokico unit?

Or the other way around.

Same goes for apexi, hks, cusco, and some other name brands?

just out of curiousity, which "coilover" springs? how will they be "coilover"? Are you going to bolt a sleeve to a strut? How are the struts "adjustable dampening"? Are you like, actually making them yourself?

Wasting your money and time.
Wasting my time.

Dude, Dropzone is generic wannabe coilover sleeve. Did you know, the 240sx application is the exact same parts as their "Civic" application? Plus the quality is crap.

AGX - good shock as long as you stay above 1.5".

Oh and that picture at the bottom isn't Dropzone - it's Ground Control (signature red/gold) which is semi-decent, but to get everything to fit (including pillowball mounts) and have a decent ride height, you have to cut the lower spring perch on the front shocks in order to position the GC sleeve correctly. And then it'll stil be half-***.

So let's see.. weak Dropzone coilovers = $100ish. KYB AGX = $340ish. Pillowball mounts = $270ish. Altogether = about $710.

For that price you can get some Tein Basics, which may be the bottom of the lineup but will be so much better than piecing together something out of crap.

...and I know nothing about coilovers. LOL

God you are a moron.

HOW R&D IS THAT?

That is just being a cheap ***.

R&D would be machining a casing, makin your own damper internals, making the spring and all other components.

Alignment has nothing to do with making a coilover.

my coilovers

raine's coilovers

those are REAL coilovers

Tein basics? who's selling em? can you get em for about 700? THats a pretty good deal. I'd buy it if I can get it for that price. Btw, my coil overs are not drop zone or ground control. They are some really cheap ones. I know they are pretty much universal, but it beats cutting springs. Besides, they are free. I also saw a set of tein camber plates for $175 or something on ebay. That means i can prolly get something decent, and done somewhat right for about 500.

btw, to the other guy, you'd be surprised how many things a good alignment machine can do. I bet there is a botton to make breakfast and coffee if i search for it long enuff.
Also, its not being cheap, its called being thrifty.

R&D,
im doing the R right now...

and going to do the D when i put together my own coilver kit

Okay - not to be a smart *** but the guy above can school you on suspension. Me too des.

And "Thrifty" means getting the right stuff at good prices.

"Cheap" is what you're doing. You're half-assing your suspension bro.

HP? All I know there's Blues, Illuminas, and D-Spec.

If Blues are HP (IIRC they are) then 1.5"ish max.
