You guys just owned yourselves.

An S13 front strut bar will fit an S14 if it has threaded ends i.e. cheapo Megan or Ebay strut bars. Hard-type bars like Nismo won't.

Strut tower hiegth is different, mine barrely fit. I had to use washers to pick up the braces from making contact with the valve cover, (if you look closely you can see the washers). Originally my braces were designed for the s13 with the CA18det, which has a much lower engine deck hiegth than that of the KA. I was almost pissed when I thought it wouldn't work...
I'm not owned, I was born to own.....LOL

P.S... Who in there right mind would buy the cheap threaded type.....LOL

People who would like to "preload" the bar and not spend a lot of money.

You wouldn't have to "preload" the bar if it were designed to spec. We're not talking springs here - we're talking about something that should be rigid when you bolt it on... not something "universal".

BTW I dunno Vinnie, my Nismo STB fits my car, it came off an S13 - and it's non-adjustable. We've also moved the cheap threaded kind from an S13 to an S14 without even touching the ends.

Maybe NorCal STBs are different LOL

The chassis will flex when the suspension is unloaded, like when it is in the air. The idea is to install the bar then and put as much tension in it as possible for the tighest bracing possible. So the bar is actually bracing against the chassis at all times. Atleast that's the theory.
