H&R Sport, Tein H-Tech or S-tech

I have some KYB AGX shocks coming in soon for my S14. It now has some type of lowering springs on stock shocks and the car doesn't handle very well. I'm stuck on whether I should get the H&R Sport Springs, or Tein S or H techs. What i'm looking for is very good and solid handling, no floating at all. They are going to be mixed w/ 5Zigen wheels 17x8 +35 in front and 17x9 +35 on the back. I don't know which tires yet. What do you guys recommend? thx!

S-Techs for sure Great springs. They won't lower the car much...but great quality.

As for tires...look into Yokohama ES100s, Falken Azenis or Zeix's...if you can afford it Toyo TS-1's(probably the lightest tires).

If you're just going to do springs, S-Tech is the way to go with Tein; the H-tech's barely lower the car, and are a tiny step up from stock springs. If you want more performance-oriented springs than Tein, go for the RSR race springs. I've had both on my car (before going to full coilovers) and both worked well.

My suggestions for tires (other than what Hyjynx suggested): I have been in a car equipped with those new Fuzion tires, and they grip pretty good... there's also Kumho 712's, which believe it or not, grip pretty good also. Toyo Proxes are nice too. All 3 tires I mentioned are a decent mix between grip and lifespan; they're not the stickiest, nor the cheapest

like raine said, RS*R race springs, you will NOT be dissappointed. I currently have Tein S-Tech's on Koni Yellows.

yeah man if you can swing the extra $ for the RSR springs, the difference from Tein S-Techs is very noticeable (not to say that tein S-Techs are bad, they're really good and you can't beat the price)

I read in some forums that the RSR springs don't work well w/ the KYB AGX shocks. Reason being because the shocks are too stiff or low or something, I can't quite remember the reason. Anyone know about this?

For [cheaper] tires I would recommend you look at the Falken FK-451. I have heard many great things about this tire, some even calling it a good alternative to the Proxes T-1s.

Oooops - I forgot about that... yeah the RSR race springs might be too stiff for the AGX, even if the AGX are set at max stiffness. The RSR race springs do match better with Koni yellows, so you're right on what you read.

Sorry about that slight mistake
