Help: Wrong Strut Bar

Ok, I just bought a strut bar and C pillar for my 89 240SX hatch, but the problem is, I didn't open up the boxes till I got home. When I read the labels for the parts, they said "89-91 CRX" for the C pillar, and "02 Sentra" for the front Strut bar. Does anyone know if this even matters? Will they still fit on my 240SX?

I'm guessing Megan.

The "C-Pillar Bar" you got is the same 'application' for 240sx's... in other words, they found that the CRX bar fit a 240sx if you extend it.

As for the other one, it's probably wrong - but it's not so hard to hold it across the engine bay to see if it fits, is it?

not really that, didn't feel like removing it from the packaging to check. Want a hassle free return if it doesn't fit. Get what i'm talking about? More than once i've delt with complaints of opened packaging.

Reasons I posted this is because my car is 40mins away from my home (at work). Rather than drive 1hr 20mins just to check and see if it fits. I'd rather post the question on here so that I don't have to make trips when not neccessary. This way I can immediately return to my distributor.

In that case maybe you should just contact whoever you bought the bars from and just tell them straight out that you got a CRX and a Sentra bar instead of 240sx bars, and see what they say.

Already done, supposedly megan told them that it fits the 240sx. I'm awaiting notice on shipment of a new strut bar.

Thanks
