Little lower
Little lower
Hey everyone. I'm new to this site and the wonderful world of owning a 240sx.
Anyhow I just bought a 91 240sx and want to lower it. I don't want it to ride bad though. Drop springs seem to be the best answer but will lowering it mess up all of the suspension angles? Will it be fixable with an alignment?
If my car will ride bad or burn through tires or handle worse I wont bother.
And if lowering springs are ok, what's a good brand?
Thanks guys! I'm sure you're tired of responding to newbies like me, but thanks if you do!

Normally i would say SEARCH (which is the best way to learn and know about most topics posted) but im in the helping mood.
1st. How much lower do you want the car?
2nd. How much $ do have to spend on lowering it?
3rd. What are your plans for the car? (Drift, daily driver, drag, etc)
I need those answers and then i can help out

The car is a daily driver, but I do like to drive it rather aggesively.
I want it maybe 1-2 inches lower.
The less money the better of course, but I will pay more for quality. $300-$500?
And I want it to be for handling too, not just the look.
Thanks!

With that Price range, your best bet would be Tein s tecks, RUCAS and KYB AGX which will run you 700 ish total...Ask around a few people (Bigvinnie has them) have it on the forums...ask their opinion...

RUCA=Rear upper control arm. Its needed to correct rear camber when you drop it...you may also need camber plates for the front....GR2s are OK it would have been better to go with AGX but since you already bought the GR-2s...You guys should have searched...this has been covered A LOT, but im in a good mood today...
The KYB AGX are adjustable gas shocks where as the GR2's are not adjustable. The GR2's will be fine if your not looking for the adjustablity. For a budget set up, the GR2's and the S-Techs will be good. I dunno if you'll really need the RUCA's though for that setup
