OK here goes.... I have 18" rims with nitto low pros on them. I have been looking on ebay for diffrerent lowering springs. I might be wrong but with factory springs it looks like the rear sets a lil higher than the front. I would like my front and rear end to seat level. How would that effect the handling of my car with a spring ratio of that setting. The ratios im seeing on ebay are for the "tein s. tech" springs offer a 1.5" drop in front and a 1.2" drop in the rear. The also offer "Eibach Pro Kit" lowering kit that offer a 1.8 inch drop in the front and a 1.6" drop in the rear. They have "drop zone" lowering springs that offer a 1.8" drop in the front and the rear. They offer "intrax" springs that lower the front 2.2" in the front and 2" inch in the rear. They also offer "Megan" lowering springs that offer a 1.75" in the front and rear. I also plan on getting kyb agx adjustable struts soon after I purchase the springs. Going the route which would be the best set up for my 89 coupe with 18" rims. I also noticed on ebay that they offer "TOKICO HP SHOCKS & SPRINGS" that come with springs and shocks but the only offer a 1" drop. But they claim that it is a smoother ride, true or false? Out of everything I have listed what is everyones opinion on what I should do. Thanks in advance.

 

I bought the Megan lowering springs for my daily driver off of ebay, and put AGX's of the front and Tokiko's in the rear with the stock steelies and it works great for daily driving, and it's a damn nice drop, on my other 240 I have Tein HE's with 17 inch wheels and the daily drivability sucks.....

 

If the Tokico spring set is only offering a 1 inch drop it would make more sense that they are more suitable for daily driving. The more agressive the drop the more agressive/stiff the ride should be. Find out what's in your budget then work from there. It is highly recommended you do not just get springs, your shocks will go very quickly if you apply the springs to stock shocks. Your ride will likely be too bouncy.

If your serious about your suspension you might want to look into saving your money for everything you need, control arms bushings, sway bars etc...

 

i think you should get coilovers you can adjust your height n how stiff you want it =)
