master cylinder leak? and z32 master cylinder question::updat:: good/not so good

well i have got a leak between the master cylinder and the brake booster on my stock s13. so which part do i need to replace exactly? or is it just a gasket? if its the master cylinder and/or the booster would i benifit from using the set up off of a z32 with my stock brakes for the time being? if so would i get it off a tt or the n/a version or is it the same?
thanx in advance
Josh

The resevoir is leaking, I would just replace the M/C. For the Z32 M/C, NA is the way to go iirc the size is 17/16. Do you ABS currently? You'll have to open up the middle outlet on the Z32 M/C if you don't have ABS. IMHO not needed unless you have full Z32 brake upgrade.

nope dont have abs. i read someplace that there are two diff types of M/C's for the z32 and that one type is better? i dont really remember why tho. so if i buy the parts rebuilt what year M/C should i ask for?
Thanx in advance

i think the proportioning between the tt and NA is the same. theres just a few different sizes, couldnt tell ya whats better though.
either way i think it would do nicely for improved pedal feel
if you dont have abs i think you are gonna have some trouble with one of the fittings on the Z32 mc. i think i read somewhere that you can hack into the old mc and take the fitting out of that, or if you can get it retail that would probably be easier.
let me know how it turns out, i was thinkin about doin the same thing

would any year be better then others?
so it makes no difference? tt or na?
and about that lil fitting. can i just buy one instead of hackin the old mc to pieces?

well just for an update i went n got a 90 z32 m/c ($90 new rebuilt from kregans usually 107 but i got the hook up) and went lookin everyplace i could think of to find that fitting and most places said i'd have to get a part like that straight from the rebuilders. so i went to pick-n-pull today n hacked out a fitting from a
totalled s13 (it was a five speed even i woulda got the clutch lines and m/c but some A**hole mangled eveything having to do with the trans ) so im gonna install everything this sat. so expect a review it should be here soon enough.

good news and bad news update........

Goodnews: i got the z32 M/C on with NO problems at all!
made the brakes feel more solid then i even imagined! this upgrade is totally worth the money!

Badnews: maybe 30 mins after installing my new M/C i was driving around checkin out my new brakes i was headed to a friends house in a residental area and a guy pulls out from the side of the road and atempts a U-turn right infront of my @ss i locked up and swerved but still nailed his *** end. did almost no damage to his toyota truck but the left sie of my nose went up under him. i need a new bumper, rad support, left fender, and headlight ***. i'll take pictures in a lil while. needless to say it was all his fault and it sounds like the silvia front end is coming before the rb25 swap now. i wanted the power before the look but oh well.
