MR coilovers

I think im going with the megan racing coilovers instead of shocks and struts (LandHo's and catharsis' posts convinced me ). I have a couple of ?s though. I have 17x8 +35 Fno1r-cs all around ( I know I know dont start. I like them. The offset isn't that bad, there is worse.) Will I need spacers to clear them and what size? Also do coilovers correct camber? Ive searched. Any help greatly appriciated.

If you are not having clearance issues with your stock suspension then I highly doubt that you'll have troubles with the coils. If anything you should have more clearance than stock. I believe camber depends on the amount you lower the car. Once it gets to a certain amount it cannot be corrected by the coils alone. You will need some adjustable suspension arms(upper? someone correct me if I am wrong).

Good luck! My MR coils should be here and installed next week.

No it won't correct alignment, but the camber plates give you a little bit of camber adjustability in the front. I just ordered my Silk Road RM/A8's, after i install them i'm goin to take it to an alignment shop to get the alignment straightened out. I'll have them add a little camber as well.

err wrong.

the stock suspension has the coil sitting above the tire. while a full coilover suspension has the coil sitting right next to the tire. problem yes and no.

YES if your offset is too high and rims too wide...which in your case will rub on the coil.

NO if your offset is low enough.

solution...offset of at least +20 is needed with coilovers.

Thanks for correcting me barriga. If he has stock wheels though, will they start rubbing on the new suspension?

so im screwed huh? I have 17x8 +35 all around. Can I clear with spacers? Im still debating whether I should just get struts and springs plus camber plates and Rucas. So if I cant get coilovers I wont. This car will rarely get track time anyway.

Okay thanks Landho. You rock I really couldn't wait for those wheels. Actually it was more impatience then bad tires. I am a very impatient person which is not a good thing. Should I get the Kts coils or the MR? Which do you trust more? By the way on the KTS website it said the wheels would come out in May 17x9 +20 but you probrably already knew that.

Do some more reading. You will not be dissapointed with either. I went with the megan's simply because of the price. On a side note. My coils came today and they look beautiful. They should be on the car very soon.
