Unhappy My Tire Nightmare. HELP!

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just bought rims using the offset given to me by tirerack.com who says it is +40, well they were right in the back, But MY FRONT TIRES ARE ON FIRE!!!! Now I have to store her in my back yard until I get this problem fixed, I noticed my fornt struts were close to the tires but I didn't think they would tear the crap outta my tires. What can I do, the rims can't be sent back and i just payed $50 buck to get the tires mounted. What struts can I use to eliminate the terrible rub? Help me please. Darn my older brother he said no don't worry about what the guys on club 240 say, tire rack tries on every rim before they put up the measurement... as I said please help.............

Thanks for the unnessecary insult. Yeah the rims are 18 x 7.5" and to tell the truth I think they could fit with some massaging. well now I'm out $200 worth of rubber cuz the tires are worn down to the threads. and spacerese dont work because there is not enough stud for me to screw my lugs onto. I need a new suspension set up anyways... would that allow clearance?

uh I think That I will keep them and Not spend thousands on rims with a really low offset, which are also very hard to find under $400 a set. The rims look great and I plan to get a new supension and While I'm at it I'll make these rims work. Thanks for your un oppinionated responce. please do not post on here again, you have not helped at all. It's obvious you are looking for a cheap laugh and not a helpful wordhas come from you. So stop acting pre-pubescent, If you can help do so, if you can't, don't talk!

Actually, LandHo is one of the better knowledgable people with regards to wheels. He's giving you his advise on what is the correct thing to do. FWD rims don't belong on our cars because of the possibility of rubbing the struts, which you are a witness to. Also, with higher offset rims, you need to buy spacers and longer studs, which add to unspring and roational mass, which are both a hinderance to performance and even a safety issue at times. He's just telling you what's best to do. Sell the FWD rims for what you got them or more on some Honda forum, and get some real rims.
You can find some nice low offset rims online on e-bay and such. BTW, why 18s? 18s are really big for an S13. They're even big on an S14. Just letting you know man.

When it comes to wheels i've just about done it all.
I didnt mean to be an *** its just that the math was all wrong and commensence tells us that.

Your stock wheels is 15x6 +40 now what you bought is 18x7.5+40 what you did it eliminate all the space you had behind the wheel in between the body making the wheel touch vital suspenison components thus destryoing tires in your case.

Good offset 4 lug wheels are not hard to find. Gram Lights makes them 5 zigen makes them.

Thats why we have forums, so we can post what we want to get and see the imput on how it fits and what is needed to make them fit that our job here.

So if anyone has any questions post them and i will help as best as i can. Oh yeah SEARCH before you post it helps.
