New to suspension pls help!
Ok i have a 93 240sx se basically stock (injen intake). I've been told a great mod is new shocks and springs. My ride is very bumpy and annoying. I would like it lowered 1"-2" but much smoother ride. What shock/spring combo and brands would you guys suggest? I dont street race, so comfortability over performance is what i want.
KYB and either Prokits or Whiltelines
Check out the whitelines here www.pdm-racing.com
KYB or tokico shocks are the best and Eilbach or Whiteline are good. Also check out H&R and some other ones that i can't think of rite now

Then again, if you ever someday get inclined to go track driving, you won't ***** at yourself for not getting adjustables in the first place. If you can swing the extra $$ I'd go with adjustables. The AGX's only have a few different settings, so you should be okay messing with it. Just don't go with some 3208423-way hardcore adjustables. Heh!
yeah, for the extra $100 for AYB AGX's it was worth it over the blues, because of the adjustable. I set it for a nice ride most of the time, then when I feel like messing around or going to the track I set them on stiff as a **** to get a better reaction and stiffness out of them. Definately the bestbuy in my mind other than coilovers. I hear Tokico makes tokico whites, which are adjustable, but I don't know how expensive they are.
The most favored move is the KYB AGX's and the eibach springs, you can't go wrong.

Just because you're not the type to adjust your shocks now, it doesn't mean that you won't be once you've got the ability. Plus the AGX shocks make it real easy. This way you can have more performance when you need it and a smoother ride when you don't. I'd definitely go that route, but that's just my preference.
P.S. Picking out a good set of tires can significantly change the ride of the car.
Good luck,
Matt
