New Tein Drift Specs...

Who's getting them? I surely am interested, they should be out April 1st unless anyone knows a special date. 10/8 spring rates are pretty stiff, but they are compatible with EDFC. Its gonna be Sweeeeet!!

I am getting them, I already preordered them from projectnissan.com, the only place I found that even is doin preorders. They where supposed to be out March1st but got delayed till the end of the month.

I believe they have a 45mm piston and upgraded springs over the tein he's, also EDFC compatable.

what was the old piston size?

Does anyone else know of other good coilovers to compare to the new Tein SD's? I'm looking for something below $1,500 and i want to make sure to look into other candidates for my car. I looked at buddy club racing specs, its nice because both Buddy Club and Tein have US branches. A lot of other JDM companies take around 2 months to get my coilovers. I've looked into RM/A8's and GR-6's as well. These are all nice coilovers, but i can't have them all.

The teins are going to be the best in terms of service and repair if you need new spring rates or need your coil-overs fixed. Other places are gonna take a while plus shipping to japan will be over $100 for 4.
The tein's SD are $1326
Silk Road Rm/A8's are $1499
Kei Office TE are $1250
Tanabe has new cheaper drift spec coil-overs coming out with there own version of the EDFC but thats not till june there current DD specs are $1699 and are back ordered till may, plus those only have 4 lvls of addjustment.

I doubt i'll have mine installed by the time you get back, don't worry. I can't wait to get them though. Are you going to run EDFC phreze? I think i'm going to pass on that.

i called a place called option imports regarding HE's. The mentioned the new super drifts and they also told me that they will probably be here by may because of the boat ride to the US. I know, i'm sad too, but it probably isn't true. Tein has a US factory so... that company might be getting their's late, maybe projectnissan is still getting their's on time. There is always hope...

Not sure if they are saying that because thats what tein told them or because they don't know/ want to get ride of all the old he's first or both?

Its not a factory is just a distribution warehouse. If Tein USA themselves are getting them late then everyone is going to get them late.
