quick 300zx question

quick 300zx question

if i swap for 300zx brakes i need at least 15" rims and i would need to drill the rotors to fit 4 lug? what about the master cylinder should i still change it even though im only changing the fronts. any other special **** i need to swap to a 89 coupe

SEARCH next time...

If your getting the 300ZX brakes your going to need the 300ZX hubs to turn yours into a 5 Lug. If its the TT version it wont work but if its the NA 300ZX then your good to go.

i read on the faq site that you can re drill the rotors to make them 4 lugs is that true?

Yeah it's true you can redrill them, but so you know not all 15" wheels will clear Z brakes, so be sure what you're getting into. And no it doesn't matter if the donor Z is turbo or not, they'll all bolt up. You only need to pay attention to years/trims if you are set on 26 or 30 mm or aluminum or iron calipers. And to answer your original question it's very highly recommended to get the master cylinder so you won't have a rear brake bias, but it's not required.
