Recomended tired size

I'm building my car for grip, I'm planing to replace my 17x7.5 wheels for staggered 17x8 up front and 17x9 in rear.

Rigth now I have 215/45/17s new on my old wheels

could I re-use my tires on the front? or do I need a new set.

Also whats the best size for the rear?

oh also just incase i get 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 in rear whats a good size.

I'm just tring to figger out how much these tires gonna hurt my pockets

On the 8's, a 245 section, 40 series

On the 9's, a 265 section, 35 or 40 series

adding 1/2 inch with the same tires will firm up the sidewall a little
