Replacinig Wheel Stud on a '95 240sx SE

Hi, im a proud owner of a '95 240sx SE and new to this forum. Its nice to see that the net can provide a network for almost every car out there. That's Awesome!! Here's a pix of my 240sx. I know, it needs paint. What color do you guys recommend eh?

Anyway, when i bought the car, the front and rear wheel stud on the driver side were broken off. I thought that i could easily fix it myself. As of right now, i'm out of ideas on how to remove the REAR disk brake.

I've done some brakes work before but only on Hondas. I'm sure they are similar designs but for this Nissan, i've hit a dead end on how to remove it. Thats as far as i got is onto removing the REAR disk break.

These are the steps i've taken to remove it.

1. Removed the Calipers

2. Removedthe Axel Bolt

And as for right now, i'm clueless on how to remove the REAR disk break in order to get the wheel stud out.

If anyone can help, it'll be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advanced

to remove the rotor, just take off the caliper and it should slide off. might be a bit rusted on so give it a good whack with a mallet, may take a few blows actually. after, youll see the hub. go ahead and beat the crap out of the broken stud til it pops out from the back. sldiea new on thru the back then get some washers over the font side. tighten on a spare lug nut and itll pull the stud splines through into the hub. gl

LOLz,, funnie how u described that dude......heheehe.....

Ok, so i got the calipers off already.......then there's the housing for the calipers as well which the rotors sit in between the housing.

How do u freakin wack the freakin rotor off? There's no freakin room to knock that sucker out!!!

just hit the front side to get it loose, make sure you use a rubber mallet. give some blows to the side of the hat if its stubborn. keep in mind all youre doing is knocking it loose! if the rotor has been on there for a while, it wont easily come off. also you dont need to remove the axle bolt. gl

paint it jet black with purple flakes. mask off teddy bear images and go over with a pearl over coat. then 3 clear coats. lol, jk! just skip the bears altogether

yes. front is trickier to get the studs in/out due to less space but youll figure it out. well the proper way is to remove the axle bolt, take off the hub and use a hydraulic press to push it out... but its not neccessary as many of us have learned. good op to get some nismo studs btw
