So this isn't a complete waste of a thread - anyone have the DoLuck tension set in their S13/S14? i'm curious as to how "bolt-in" it really is.

the do-luck isn't a roll cage. it connects certain points inside the car to make it stiffer. but if you were to roll over it would not help you at all. also if you plan to race your car it is not a certified roll cage. but if you are looking to stiffen up your chassis and for a killer look in the back of your car...go for it. they have two types...all steel and aluminum.

offtopic...but who is that girl in the picture? very hot i must say.

never actually seen anyone but Skylines using it. it must be new for our cars. but i would save up for a real roll cage instead. would stiffen the car out much much better. and if you ever wanna race it is certified.

if I wanted a roll cage I'd get one.

no seriously - the thing I like about the tension set is that it leaves the rear accessible... I'd only consider a real bar or cage if I turned the car into "track only".

all i was saying is that you can get the same thing for cheaper i bet.

price range is from 620 for steel and 755 for aluminum.

The DoLuck bars have been available for a while. I know that TyYap had the rear bar in his car at least 3 years ago and said it stuffened things up noticeably.

i have a full 8 point cage in my eclipse. all the bars and main hoop came from competition engineering. i don't know if they make a cage for the 240 or not. the expensive part is the install if you don't do it yourself. i had a friend do it for me. he had done many before. the bars they send you are too long intentionally so that you can make your own fit. the whole set only cost me shipped. if you live local to the nh area i would be happy to hook you up with my friend that does cage installs all the time. he will do it for$890 for all the bars, shipping and labor included. if you email me i will give you details. chriswgsx@yahoo.com i am very happy with my cage in my eclipse. HUGE difference in chassy stiffness. there is another company that makes cages, but i can't remember who it is. if i figure it out i will let you know.
