Shock conversion (related to 300zx)

I am a new guy here with some very technical questions about my newly aquired 91 240sx. I just got the car through a lein sale. The car was thrashed by a theif when came into my possesion.
I have a list 10 miles long on stuff to do before it is road worthy.
One of the things I plan on doing is replacing the shocks. Right now they bounce like a low-rider at a street contest.

The technical question at hand:

Will shocks from a 84-89 300zx turbo car fit into my struts? You know the adjustable ones? Is it a straight cross over or a total fabrication nightmare? Is there any difference in the way they install?

I am thinking of either going with the 300zxt stock adjustable ones or the replacment Tokico Illuminas for the 300zxt(which are adjustable). Which ever is cheaper.

Thanks
Ray

Because I trust Tokico. I KNOW they are good shocks. Mainly dealing with my older Nissan. I will research the KYB AGX but they are probibly more expensive than 144 for 2. I found some more info on the stock adjustable shocks for a 300zxt and they don't sound very good or easy to install. So Since VB has cheap good shocks I still want to know if they are a straight cross over.

Well the pricing will be a lil more expensive with AGX..but it will probably a plus in performance as well, and a HUGE plus in ease of installition. Go with AGX and you will have a easier time and probably better handling, save urself some headaches

I'll price them today. Can they be bought at the average parts store? Like Kragens or Autozone?

Doesn't make sense going through all the hassle of fitting Tokicos made for a Z onto a 240 when Tokico makes shocks for the 240.

What's wrong with this picture?

You trust Tokico. You KNOW they're good shocks. Granted, Tokico's are fine I guess.

But if you do a survey, there'll be a lot of people responding to you telling you that they trust Kyb's. We KNOW Kyb's are a better choice than Tokicos.

But it sounds like you're pretty set on fitting 200ZX parts on an S chassis... but it still doesn't make sense, from a practical standpoint. May I ask why?

No one answered the damn question.

No they will not. They will not fit in the snow they will not fit your line of dough and now that I told you you are in the know.

Where did StanBo's meds go?

Okay cool. I guess I am used to dealing with old school. You know parts are rare so you have to either fab it or look very closely for the right part that has been on a shelf for 30+ years.

I don't know where to order shocks for my car now. Since I cannot use the ones for a 300zx I am stuck with buying them through someone else. I have asked all the local parts stores and they cannot order nor do they carry Tokico or KYB. Anyone have some good trustable web sites? Or should I start checking e-bay for used ones. Does KYB have a site ditto Tokico where I can order?

Did a quick check... try PDM for the KYB AGX's... $460 a set, or Tokico Blue's for $344... and they're really nice people (from experience)

There might be slightly lower prices, but it's your turn to look

There are more sites for H/Ms13 chassis shocks/struts but I think that should be suffice. Also, another reason why AGX struts/shocks are better is because it allows you to dampen it to your likings. In other words, you get to set the cushiness of your ride via dial, given your springs are not 800lb racing ones.
