strut bars?
I know what their purpose is but I havent quite found any feedback as to how well they work. Maybe i didnt search enough though... Anyway, I'm skeptical about buying these $20 eBay strut bars, but for under $40 shipped i was thinking of giving them a shot. What worries me is most of the less expensive ones, the bar is attached to the strut plate by 2 small tabs to give the straight bar height clearance over the motor... These little risers are likely tack welded into place and look flexible, which negates having a strut bar there in the first place. Cusco bars bend over the motor and look extremely solid on either end where its attached to the plates but i dont feel like spending $100 on one bar.
To see the most rigidity without a full cage I would need both front and rear bars. Do you think the $40ea is worth it? Do you think $100+ is worth it for cusco? will I likely notice a difference in mild 'spirited' driving? Would it be better to start with a rear bar first?

I have the greddy front and rear strut bar. The damn things were $130 a piece, but they made a very noticeable difference. My buddy who has a civic *shudder* tried putting a set of ebay ones on his car, and when he went to take it off, it was bent and a b**** to get off. Another classic case of "you get what you pay for"
