struts and springs

I have a 1995 240 SX SE, and my ex-husband replaced the struts and heated the springs. The car sits extremley low and the tires wear out in a very short period (going on my third set in two tears). I would like to replace the factory struts and springs but it is really expensive. Do any of you guys have an idea where I could get used ones. The original struts were thrown away (not by me )

Thanks for any help!
C.
