suspension upgrade?

lately i've been working alot on my car and it's definitely time for new suspension. i was thinking of getting a set off apex n1 damper coilovers but i don't know how great they are. i'll be using the car for circuit/street driving, so i need good durability and adjustablility. i was also looking at tein coilovers any ideas.

I don't know what you where you would see the difference in the two. If your car is set up with one of the two in mind coilovers are just a piece of the puzzle.

Diff, camber, toe, caster and driver input has a lot to do with it.

Shoot the decision of hard springs and soft sways, hard sways and softer springs also has to be thrown into the mix.

The only holdback I have on the Stance is that the 240 community seems to hop on what is new then move to the next after the learning curve is found.

Teins 2003
Silks 2004
Megans (price is killer) 2005
Stance 2006

It is like a wave lol.

I would consider the setup of the whole car and the coil as a part of the machine.

Have you considered tein flex with spring rates set for your driving needs? This would open the door for quick and painless dampening changes while still having the spring rates you want.

I have personally owned and driven cars equipped with:

1993 coupe KA Tein HA
1991 fastback SR20DET Tein HE (drift spec before they were fitted with the edfc and dropped the HE name)
1993 coupe KA Silkroads

I tell you the silkroads fit their name. I drove with them on the dampening on least and enjoyed the drive on the FDR and mean streets of NYC.

Tein HAs were ok for their time. There really wasn't much of a selection as the 240sx world didn't blow up at the time. Think of it this way my differencial was the second in the country setup for an open differencial housing lol. $1600!

Tein HEs were mint but they were a bit tight for the street. Then again that car had a cage and was really tight overall. The coilovers were just part of the harshness.

wtf is wrong with tein?

people seem to knock them, like they knocked JIC's 2 years ago. I ****en rocked teins and beat the **** out of them, they took it and asked for more.

unless you are a tein engineer and know that what you make is **** then dont spout that they suck.

Thank you. It seems that coilovers fall out of grace as they get older.

I am sorry but I rock Bilsteins on my truck and have on other street vehicles.

You will also notice that there might be more complaints on the Teins because more people own them so there is a greater group of people to hear from.
