IM PLANNING TO GET TEIN SPRINGS TO GO WITH MY KYB GAS SHOCKS FOR MY '90 240SX FAST BACK, BUT IM NOT SURE WHICH ONES TO GET. I KNOW THAT THE TEIN H SPRINGS ARE SOFTER THEN THE TEIN S SPRINGS. BUT HOW STIFF ARE THE S SPRINGS? BECAUSE I USE TO HAVE A '96 NEON (WHAT WAS I THINKING?) WITH EIBACH SPORTLINE SPRINGS AND THE RIDE WAS HORRIBLE. I DONT WANT TO END UP LIKE THAT AGAIN. ANYONE WITH EXPERIENCES WITH THESE TEIN SPRINGS HIT ME UP AND LET ME KNOW SOME INFO ON THEM. FOR MOSTLY CITY USE AND SOME DRIFTING. I DONT WANT THEM TO BE TOO SOFT OR TOO STIFF BUT STILL HAVE A LOW STANCE. OH YEAH IM RIDING ON 15'' WORK E-WING RIMS.

 

first off stop yelling... kill the caps lock. second of all get the
s-techs. they are stiff but you dont want something soft like stock. i never riden on sportlines before so i can't compare but i had the s-tech/kyb-agx combo and it was a clean drop and perfect for daily driving and occasional drifting. you wont hate them unless the roads around you blow *** and have mass potholes.

c-walk ok what spring would you recommend if your roads do blow ***. I live in pothole city any suggestions besides moving.

 

i'd still go with the S-techs... it'll be like a video game dodging them. I hit a 2" peice of drywall on the highway doing 100mph. Didnt damage a damn thing, so if you were worried about screwing things up on potholes then your fin with the s-techs. Besides people complain about how the S-techs are a very big drop and the tein H springs arnt even an inch lower than stock... they're crap. comfort for performance.

 

How are the tein s techs on stock struts? anyone ahve any expeirence?

get S-Techs. I would recommend eventually getting performance shocks though since the stockers will eventually blow out.

please dont use the stock shocks... they are not meant to be used like that. Get a more durable shock like the KYB/AGX. Plus
4(F) 8(R) adjustable

 

As I seem to be the only one that's actually ridden with h-techs (i have them on my car with AGX's- usually set toward the stiffest settings) here's my perspective:

I live out in a country town, and i moved here from a large city. In the city i would have done s-techs in a heartbeat- they're $80 cheaper.
As I live out in bad-roadsville, i've got h-techs. They're a 1" drop, instead of a 1.5" drop, but they are still pretty damn stiff over stock, and when I auto-x it every month, the car is every bit as flat as other cars with s-techs.
So if you (like me) don't fancy feeling every bit of gravel in your ***... go w/ h-techs.

well finally i got my shocks/struts and tein-s springs hooked up. its a great ride. (thank god) but i noticed that the front driver side spring was installed upside down because the "tein" logo on the spring is upside down. i dont feel any affects but u guys think i should take it back and flip upside up? or it wouldnt make a different thanx

 

haha its prolly worh the 30 min it would take you. just so you have peace of mind knowing its installed correctly.
