nah, well you have the inner tie rods and the other tie rods from your rack and pinion shaft,
but are they really worth the price those tein rods thanks |
tein are only compatible with the tein tie rod ends, they I REPEAT NOT compatible if you mix match them with stock pieces.
|
SLP parts are better
|
Tien uses S14 threads on their tie rods so yes it is possible to use stock ends with them. Just make sure they're for an S14 (even if you have an S13). Anyway about the tie rods I got them on my car and I believe they are worth the money over stock. The stiffer bushings and spacers WILL make a noticable difference in steering feel.
|
well i have an s14 and although i didn't ry the instuctions and all the research i did said that tein's were not compatible with stock ends
|
that i know, my question is are they worth it over stock ones for the price you pay for them
|
yes but spend the money for the SLP parts for now there will be better products coming out soon for less money
|
slp means what

its the brand

not sure about SPL heard good things about them but tein is a proven brand. I feel any aftermarket part that is good quality will be better than stock.

Teins are great. And, btw, when you get the Tein tie rods, you get both sides, complete. You get the two tie rods AND both outer tie rod ends...
But you dont get the inner tie rods..... |
Holy crap. Do you even know what a TIE ROD is?
Dude, what you're calling an inner tie rod IS a tie rod.... And, yes it does come with them.... |

I wanna know what an outer tie rod is on our cars. :dunno: :p
|
Holy crap. Do you even know what a TIE ROD is?
Dude, what you're calling an inner tie rod IS a tie rod.... And, yes it does come with them.... The inner tie rod is the one under the boot, the outer tie rod is the one connected to the wheel, so no it doesnt come with the inner part Dude.... |

It looks like YOU'RE saying what i've just said. Second of all, the Tein tie rods come as a complete tie rod setup. Yes, it comes with the inner tie rod that connects DIRECTLY to the R&P (thats rack and pinion for YOU, if you didn't already know). Third of all, the outer tie rod does NOT connect to the wheel... Fourth, have you actually looked at the parts or installed them on a car? I have.... |
Here, maybe you're still confused.... This is a picture of the combo that sells for $150 (as you stated). You CAN buy them individually, but its rare that anyone sells them that way... And they run ~ $80 each, individually.
Here is a picture of the combo, though.... http://i20.ebayimg.com/01/i/02/0c/34/4d_1_b.JPG |
wow both of you settle down... beside both of you are kinda wrong anyways - it's not an "outer tie rod" or "inner tie rod" at all.
... it's a TIE ROD, and a TIE ROD END. |
