what are the widest tires i can fit?
Hey. I'm looking to get some 17" rims and im wondering if i can fit 245's in the back. My brother has 295's on his mustang, and i get kinda jealous with my little 215's. Lol. But yeah, im looking to do 245's in back and 225's up front..less contact patch up front, better for drifting.

The max u can really go on a 240 would be 255 in the rear and 245 in the front.
my friend has the Advans from Japan, specs are as follows:
245/40/R18 for the front
255/40/R18 for the rear
His S14a is dropped, so he needs spacers (H&R sells some pretty good spacers)
whether or not ur gonna drop ur 240 or leave it stock height, u'll need spacers if u ever go that wide...

Spacers are ONLY required IF the Offset is HIGH.
You can PUT 19" x 8.5 wide and 235 on front, 245 on rear AS long as the Offset is +35 rear and +32 on front(OR LESS for both). The Spacers MAKE it that way, when a Wheel comes with a High Offset. Also, if you are going to USE spacers, get Hub-centric rings also. This will align the Spacers and Wheels for better balance and safety.
Just some INFO
