wide rims

Would I have to roll my fenders if I get 17x10 rims in the rear and 17x9 in the front? Would it stick out too much?

offset is the key to sticking out or not

Hey Silviadriver, you're gonna have to explain to me this whole offset thing. I have read around, but I never understood offsets well. I do know that offset is the key to tire/rim performance, but I'm still in the dark about the whole thing.

IE: a 17x9 +35 is weaker than 17x9 +5..but I don't know why. I mean it's the same dimension..

..right?

the only thing u needa know is lower the offset, the better the wheel.

nothing skinnier than a 9" and nothing higher than a +15

of course you can go wider and lower, but to majority of the people those specs are already "extreme" to them.

my rear wheels are probably gonna be 10.5 and in the -20s

sounds like FN01R-Cs

if that sounds good to you then get it. everybody has different perspectives on offset to which is wild and which is mild.

to me i think thats pretty normal standard. to others its "omg thats ****en low offset you gota run stretch tires n roll your fenders! thats juss TOO much man"

to me, my offsets would be either 0 or below 0.

i know my rears will be below 0 but i cannot do that to my fronts due to non wide fiberglass fenders.

low offst *****? u know damn right.
