2 things

Ok just got my 240 and i'm thinking of doing a KA24DE swap (got a single slammer in it now) and then building a SR down the road. What do you guys think i should do a KA-T or a KA Nitirious set up? Wut do u think is cheaper and with the Turbo do u think i need a intercooler because i'm only going to get a smaller turbo? I'm only looking for a cheap turbo for maybe something like 50 more hp? but all of this for like under 600

why waste your time with a de swap? if your are gonna go sr later... ka24et is fine, if you wanna go fairly cheap, find used parts or ebay... a t25 or t28 will do you fine, make your own IC piping and use a stock sr20 side mount or something... i guess you dont NEED an intercooler, but its a damn good idea. And stayed under 600 is gonna be tough... remember all the sh*t you'll need... turbo, manifold, injectors, fuel pump, ecu tune, intercooler and piping etc etc

while you are in there swapping piston rings... put a DE head on it. Or just build the f*cking motor since you have it all apart anyways... screw an sr swap later, build yourself a beastly *ss ka!

because i heard to build a KA would be much more work to do then just a plain SR-Swap in the long run.

not really... buying a cheap ka, building it and replacing engines and the de ecu is much much easier than an sr swap. I'm not sayin that either is impossible, but they will both take time and money. Building the Ka will probably be cheaper than buying a stock sr20det. It's preference and what you think is best... search around and read all the sr vs ka threads

Time/Money/Power becuase i dont have to time get all those custom mounts. Plus I dont have the money if something breaks everyone has SR's but not alot of people have SR's and plus the RB puts out only like 180hp i want SR power baby. And with the KA-T idea arnt they not as realiable to a SR20DET

i'd think the ka's steel block would be more reliable... if thats what your deciding on, well, thats a terrible reason. Any turbo car will have some issues and need maintaince . If you want an sr20... then save up and buy one... not club240's decision

my bro told me that a SR20DET (i'm aiming for 300hp at the wheels) would be eaiser and would be more relaible than a KA-T? Is that true? I'm just wondering becuase i still only have a KA24E so i could either do a DE or SR swap. And to make my 300hp mark lets say i have both a KA24DE and a SR sitting in my garage just waiting to be built what do u think would be cheaper to do not including the price of the engines. (I dont need that power really by the end of the summer and my garage is open all winter)
