240SX for sale, is it worth it

I am looking at a 1996 Nissan 240SX for sale and want to know if the price is worth it. First off, the body and paint are in great condition (no dents, scratches, fading). The interior is black leather also in great condition. There is a little over 100K miles on the chassis, but the engine and transmission have about 40K-50K miles. It has an RB26DETT, Stoptech Brakes, HRE wheels, and Tein Coilover suspension. Because the owner just wants to get rid of it, she has too much money (very rich), she said she'll sell it for $10,000. Is this worth is? It is a good running car, but doesn't have any traction anywhere.

as long as the car runs good then yes thats good. The car itself in the condition ur describing is prolly worth about close to 6000 and that motorswap alone is a good 10,0000 not to mention the other parts on it. Is it awd or rwd?

The swap was definately done great. I personally know the mechanic and he did the swap with the intention of keeping the car. He then sold the vehicle to the owner of a performance shop who had big plans for the car but never got around to it. The car has only been run at most 12 psi. Do you guys think that this could be a reliable daily driver? I'm seriously considering this car but am a little concerned about the drivability.

Car sounds really nice, and price sounds good too, but I would not be counting on this car as a daily driver. That is a lot of work done, and unfortunately thats a lot of stuff that could go wrong. Either way you go good luck.

P.S.
Do you have any pics of the car, sounds interesting

I don't have any pictures. Would you instead suggest me finding a 240SX with a SR20DETT for a more reilable street driven daily driver?

Well finding an SR20DETT would be pretty hard....especially considering it was never offered in any Nissan, doesn't even exist as a production engine...

This Newbie just happens to be looking at a car dynoing 420whp at low boost that would absolutely destroy your car any day.

sounds like the same ebay scam my buddy nearly fell into... hopefully its not!!! there are a million "baddass 240s " on ebay, selling for pretty cheap, but are just going to take your deposit and run... be careful... if its too good to be true, it probably is!
